Constructive tool

A constructive tool refers to any digital took that helps students to actively construct knowledge by linking new digital tools with students' prior knowledge that enables the active construction of new knowledge.

The third tool that we have learned was constructive tool. From my understanding constructive tool means any tools that help us to construct new knowledge with a knowledge that we already have a prior knowledge. These tools help learners to create, explore, and reflect, which help to expand their knowledge.

 The examples of constructive tools include Concept map, desktop publishing program, word, spread sheet and power point, Camtasia studio and 

                                             google classroom.

Why integrate constructive tool in the classroom.

We should integrate constructive tool in classroom because firstly it promotes active learning as student or a learners can use technology to create or connect ideas and allow users to brainstorm their ideas.

 Like concept map student can brainstorm their learning and understand well. Secondly it supports personalized learning. Tools like Camtasia video teacher can make video based on any topic and upload in google classroom or vle and let student go through it so that student can work or learn at their own pace, explore their idea, and connect new information to their prior knowledge.

 Thirdly it enhances creativity and engagement like students can use that technology to make presentations, videos and blog to make learning more enjoyable.  The most important thing is it increase retention where student can actively engage with content. Rather than just memorizing information students use ICT tools to build new knowledge with prior knowledge.

 

How I will integrate constructive tool in classroom

Firstly, I will use concept maps to let learners design their ideas or understanding on any topic like for example If I am going to teach about a topic transportation firstly, I can make concept map and let student learn or let then make. It makes learning mor engaging and make both learners and teachers to organize information clearly. Secondly as a future teacher I will use power point to present my ideas and to give activities to student which will help every student to construct knowledge.

Not only this I would use digital blog/ journals. Letting student to write reflection on the learning process which helps to improve digital writing skills and improves their learning process. I would use online tools like google docs, google slides, Padlet for group work where learners can share their ideas and improve collaboration.

I will create google google classroom and invite all students. It helps teacher to organize, manage and streamline their teaching. Teacher can upload notes and assignment in unit wise which encourage student to keep track on lesson and work collaboratively. I will use Camtasia while teaching. Example to teach on the topic cleanliness firstly will make presentation by including all the informative tools. Make presentation attractive to let student pay attention. 

Then I will use Camtasia to screen record and to explain my lesson.

 After I can edit and put background sound to make the lesson interesting to learn. The teacher can share the video to student and let them do activity without attending classes or Camtasia video can be use before starting the lesson.
